Maintenance:

Our highly skilled resources enable us to service units on a regular basis to ensure a maximum life span:

Retro fitting : As switchgear reach the end of life span retro fitting becomes inevitable and modern equivalence must replace the older generation. This intervention can be conducted on site with all the necessary modifications switch gears
Transformers : To ensure optimum efficiency levels various electrical tests to ensure effective electrical functionality
Protection Circuits : With well calibrated and modern test equipment various tests are performed to critical components , such as relays, current transformers, overloads other tests carried out, include ductor testing, pressure test, cable fault detection test and speed test
Emergency Change Over Systems : Maintenance and repairs are conducted to ensure efficient and reliable emergency generator power in the event of power failures

Testing: With advanced test equipment, we perform speed tests, ductor tests, pressure tests, infrared scanning and other functionality tests to ensure optimum and preventative solutions for the equipment utilized.
Substation Maintenance: We ensure that all major low-voltage and medium-voltage substations are well maintained at optimum levels at all times.
Substation Design: This involves turnkey solutions with Drawings (As Built, Single Line Drawings and Schematics)
Panel Upgrading: This entails upgrades to old and obsolete panels with modern versions to minimize downtime in the event of failures.
Mini Subs: Maintained, tested and install new ring main unit
Medium and Low Voltage Commissioning
Automation and Control: This entails an upgrade of the existing SCADA and new installation of SCADA with RTU,
Power lines and Cables: This entails the installation of overhead lines on the high voltage system, cable installation and joints on the medium voltage to low voltage, also fault finding
Relay Training: AEC is approved to provide training for intelligent electronic devices on behalf of ABB SA to customers that utilise ABB products or have an interest to ABB products. We are also in the process of extending our offer for Siemens products

The testing and commissioning of high-voltage electrical equipment is a highly specialised activity with each and every installation being tested by a trained engineer to exacting standards. AEC testing capability covers an extensive range of disciplines.
